Course Description:
The course provides students with hands-on experience in applying theory and methodologies to the analysis and design of control systems. It includes a series of laboratory exercises related to system modeling, experimental model recognition/validation, and simulation of dynamic systems behavior using appropriate software. It focuses on designing control systems to meet given specifications, simulating their controlled behavior, implementing the control system and evaluating its performance.

1. Introduction to Matlab software
2. Closed-loop control systems, PID control
3. Introduction to Simulink software
4. Modeling and simulating dynamical systems with Simulink
5. Analysis and design of control systems with the Control System Toolbox (Matlab)
6. Experimental identification and testing of the mass-spring-damper system

Assessment Methods:
1. Laboratory exercises and reports: 40%
2. Final exam: 60%, Date: To be announced
